I stumbled upon Haruki Murakami’s After Dark one day. I picked it up intrigued by the cover (yep, sucker for a cover right here). With little interesting me in my stack of books, I went for the new one and barely left the couch until it was finished. Spellbound would be a good word. Am I excited about his new book, 1Q84? Umm, yeah, like hell I’m excited.

Just Book Reading 
Eeek I can’t wait either. I absolutely love Murakami. I’ve pre-ordered the American copy of the book because I prefer the cover & I do believe that all 3 parts are printed in one book, unlike the British copies where the 3rd book is printed separately.
I hope I don’t have to wait too long for it to arrive. Amazon said 18 days to 25 or something like that but they usually come a lot earlier then they say… but that’s within the UK of course. I guess I have loads of other books meanwhile to read…
I know! I’m giving in an buying it as soon as I can. I have a work trip coming up in about a week and I want it for the plane ride.
Oh good. I hope you have a good long journey. I don’t usually buy hardbacks or books soon as they come out. I prefer paperbacks as they’re easier to read but Hell if I’m waiting a year to get my grubby mitts on this book…
I usually don’t travel with hardcover books but I’m making an exception for this one. I have a Nook and have several books on there to read but this one’s making the trip too. Need something good for a 5 hour plane ride!
fascinating video- thank you for sharing this! I’m such a huge fan of Murakami, can’t wait to start reading this one (waiting for my Amazon delivery)… I read Kafka on Shore in five days and been waiting for this for quite some time now :))
I’m being patient (OK, trying) but will probably run and buy it as soon as I can.
I haven’t read any of his books yet, and I’m really hoping that this one is as good as the hype because I’m considering it for a first go at experiencing his writing.
My first was After Dark which I loved but I’m so excited for this one!
